Only Lasted Two Years

The trash can worked beautifully for about a year and then started acting erratically. It would stop working and required resetting periodically. Now after several months of resetting, it has finally quit. I've tried resetting and changing batteries to no avail. Too bad, we loved it when it worked.

This is everything a trash can should be. Sensor operation works great, onboard bag storage Is very convenient and the batteries are easy to change. What else can I say? Maybe I could mention that my neighbor inherited my Simple Human step can (~20yrs old) and is thrilled with it. These cans are made to last!

Once you go voice control, you’ll never go back!

I tried this cab because it was the closest representation in terms of overall size to what I had since I first bought the house. Literally the only reason I did not keep it was because I also tried the other models that had voice control and was sold. This can works great, but the voice control cans are so much better, especially since you can plug those models in to power them without having to change batteries. This model is battery operated, but it does fit better in tighter spaces, so it will work especially for the situations where a power outlet is not available.

We’ve had this maybe 2 years now and its holding up well. Supporting a family of 4, it gets lots of use. Super convenient and looks great, too.

I have not had a trash can in my kitchen for at least fifteen years. I was visiting my cousin one weekend and fell in love with hers. I decided to purchase one and I love it!! Thank You simplehuman!!
