Great if not in high traffic area

I happen to have mine directly facing the stove and it’s always being set off by me cooking and moving. I wish the sensor was slightly less sensitive, but if you are putting it slightly to the side, it works perfectly.

This can replaced a previous model from Simplehuman, same size and shape. I knew I wanted the motion sensing feature again...So convenient in the kitchen!! I considered the larger voice activated model but this size works well for our large family and the shape is better suited for the space. I appreciate that this model stores bags at the back of the can. It works consistently well. 100% good purchase.

Bought this trash can about 4 years ago and it suddenly stopped working. Luckily Simplehuman has a great warranty program, I was able to get a replacement for Free. It took well over 1 month (due to the pandemic) but it was worth the wait!
