Love this trash can & simplehuman Service!

We have had this trash can for 3 years and when it wasn't working correctly, simplehuman customer service handled it quickly and easily. It's a fantastic trash can and I highly recommend it!

Sensor Trash Can

I love my new rose gold sensor trash container. It works beautifully and saves a lot of hand washing. With a traditional trash container, every time you open it to discard trash, you have to wash your hands as you touched the can or the trash in it. With the sensor the can opens and trash can be discarded without touching the can in any way. The rose gold color is beautiful. The only negative is the plastic trash bags it uses. I think they're much more expensive than they need to be.

Best Smart Trash Ever!!

This is my 3rd smart trash that I’ve bought. The second from this company. I’m going to recommend this to everybody I meet. My job is to setup smart product for customers in there homes and this company will be on the top of my list of recommendations. I love how the trash lid is all one piece. My dad is getting old and he ended up throwing away the lid. He thought it was a part of the trash to take out. Now I would never have to worry about it ever again.

Great Sensor Can with a couple exceptions

This is my second sensor can from Simplehuman. It is a great improvement from the 45 liter, battery-operated only sensor can which I still use. It is much quieter and very easy to clean since it is all stainless steel. It works great with the power adapter. I have not tried using it with the batteries. The power adapter would be a good option for all of their sensor cans since the batteries wore out pretty quickly on my first one. I only rated it with 4 stars since I noted a couple of quirks. One being that the lid has closed while wiping food off a plate into the sensor can. It would be nice for the lid to stay open when the sensor is blocked, not just when it detects motion. The second quirk happens when the plug is unplugged from the sensor can and then plugged back in. The sensor did not work after the plug was put back in. I just unplugged the power adapter from the outlet, then plugged it back in and the sensor worked fine. Other than those two exceptions this is a great product!

It has dynamic sensing that adapts to your tasks -- when the lid is closed, the sensor range is short and focused -- no false triggers. When open, the sensor expands to the area in front of the can, so the lid won't close until you are finished. This can being automatic has spoiled me to when I go visit ours homes, I always walk up to their can and expect it to open. I love the quality of material it is made of and the can is beautiful. The design with the “J” trash bags you can fill the bags to the maximum without wasting bags. I would be lost with out my simplehuman can!! I Love It!

The 45L sensor can has been a wonderful addition to our kitchen. It looks great; matching perfectly our brushed chrome appliances. It’s well constructed and operation is smooth and effortless. We saw one of Simple Human’s other sensor trash cans while visiting friends then saw this one on the web. It just fit right in.
