The clock app... Seriously, stop with all the options for the alarm. An alarms should go off when you set it, and not continuously have reasons that or settings that need adjusted so the alarm doesn't silence itself. Or at least have notification and options that pop up when you set your first alarm warning you that certain settings have to be adjusted otherwise the phone will decide you don't need to wake up for work.

A capable entry level phone for the price.

This is a decent phone for the price. It, at least. starts slow though. It took three times as long to update as my Pixel 9 and takes, at least, twice as long to boot up, but it isn't the 'Edge' (which I also have). I can see the difference, but it cost a whole lot less than the Edge or Pixel. This is not going to be used as a primary phone, so it will work for us. It came with a decent amount of storage, 128G and with my 256g SD card it has more storage than my pixel. Its operating memory is low a 4G (causing the slowness) and I like how I can use 8G of storage to increase the operating memory. However, I have not had time to test it yet. I'd give it 5 stars if it came with 8G of operating memory. I haven't used the cameras yet, but I've been happy with the Motorola cameras for, at least 4 years and most cameras today are very capable today. I don't think I would ever trust a phone camera if I were a photograph aficionado. The phone comes with NFC and 5G. It also has a headphone jack if you're still liking that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone is great and happy with it. But the trade-in process is extremely confusing and not documented.

The best for me

We purchased this phone for my wife after 2 other branded phones. This is a far better phone for the price as the other 2. I have had Motorola for my business since the bag phone era and always respected the dependability. When others have a little to no signal the Motorolas have always served me well. The only other brand I used was a sore disappointment because it had great reviews. I now own a Moto G Pure 2021 and plan to keep it until it will no longer works.

Update Moto g
on June 3, 2025
Posted by: charlotte28
I bought my new moto g-2025 about 3 weeks ago. The settings are very different from my old one which was Android 9. The new one is Android 15. The phone is a little larger and I wish it wasn't. With a case, it will no longer fit into the front pocket of my purse which kept it handy and easy to access when it rang or buzzed. Overall, it is a great improvement.
Response from motorola.comBy Mitch, Motorola Customer Care, June 9, 2025

Hate it

Not as good as Moto g 6 no longer available. Mine stopped working after 2 weeks, had to send it to Motorola, they never specified what went wrong. Basically mine got stuck on Gemini I never wanted and couldn’t unstick it. Will not buy it again. Also I hate “glance” because even though I always have to disable it uses battery power. Motorola used to be good not so much these days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
