Obstacle Avoidance, nice. Mapping with Lidar, nice. Auto-emptying so I don't have to worry about it, nict. Can tell carpet from hard floors, nice.

It’s the best vacuum I have ever used! I have two cats and there is hair all over the floor. It’s hard for me to move the vacuum when I used a Dyson ball vacuum although it works very well! I read reviews online and decided to buy this one, it works very well and it never fell downstairs which I’m really happy. When it works it does make noise but as long as I’m not on the same floor it won’t bother me! Also, when the mapping is over, it’s super easy to draw lines on the map and manage which parts to be cleaned!
And once we had set up the rooms we then set up a schedule to do different rooms at different times and days. Brilliant!
Another cool feature is that it returns home when either it's finished, or running low on battery (it restarts where it left off when charged).
This vacuum is stunning, in both design and intelligence. Definitely recommend it for someone who has pets and needs to clean frequently!

Only had the S7 MaxV plus for two days but so far I'm impressed. Unit exceeds expectations for being smart, detailed and quick mapping, great coverage even in the dark with the filling light, self emptying, and for how well it vacuums on hardwood and carpet. Camera seems really more smart to avoid obstacles, and also I can view my cats when I'm in office. Even does a pretty decent job getting to the edges and corners. We have a few cats that leave hair, pet food, other spills, it takes care of everything! Smart tech. I'm a bit of a geek, so this is great for me! I highly recommend it.

I am an early adopter of the roborock vacuums. In 2018, my son sent me a roborock S5 for my birthday and he helped me set up the app and everything. It truly made my life easier, I couldn’t live without Robi after one month. Unfortunately, there was an accident with Robi. My dog had diarrhea and my Robi ran over it when it was doing a schedule cleaning. I then decided to upgrade to S7maxV Plus as most of my house is carpeted. I think it’s too expensive to get the Ultra one and I do not need the mop washing feature.
I got my S7maxV Plus in June. In the beginning, I can’t get the app to work so I called the support team. The agent I spoke with was very nice and helpful. We got the app to work together.
It then took a few minutes to map with the quick mapping feature and I absolutely love the camera feature. I can check my dog and call his name while I am not home which is amazing! Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Powerful enough, totally worth it!

Received my S7 MaxV plus last week and it works amazing so far! I've been a happy owner of Roborock S6 for 2 year and the new one is way better than my old S6. Love the way of quick mapping and it took 15 minutes only to map the whole level. The suction power is stronger than S6 and easily collects almost all cat hair on the wooden floor. I have no carpet so not sure if it cleans well on the carpet as well. Haven’t try to use the video chat, but I think it will be a good tool to spy on my cat when I’m not at home, Lol.
The only complaint is that I prefer to empty the dust container every week rather than replacing the dust bags.
Overall, pretty satisfied with it.

I’ve been very pleased with this purchase! We live in a two story house - 90% of the first floor is hardwood, 90% of the second floor is carpet. With 3 kids and a dog that sheds, I set off the vacuum each night and wake up to clean floors each morning. The cliff sensors detect our stairs well. Apparently the thresholds between our second floor hardwood landing and the carpeted bedrooms are a little high because it has gotten stuck a couple times upstairs but I think it’s learning. I have not tried the mopping feature yet but hope to in the near future. I love the time I’ve saved!

Went from the Roomba J7+ to the S7 MaxV and I couldn't be happier. It has zero issues with docking and emptying unlike the Roomba.
