Forerunner 45 Has Positives and Negatives

I received the Forerunner 45 as a birthday gift. It replaces my 11 year old Forerunner 350. I like its size and weight and the information it provides on each activity. I like the app so I can save my activities and review the data. Initially, I found it not user friendly, but I think I've mastered how to work it. I found I have to wait an 3 or more minutes to acquire the GPS satellites. While I could acquire the satellites with my old 350 in the house, the 45 doesn't allow for that to happen. The delay to acquire satellites hampers the start of my activity.

Love my Forerunner 45S

I bought the watch for running, but there are so many other great features. Temperature, heart rate, messages, stress level, sleep level. Plus - it is waterproof. Highly recommend.

I bought this a month ago and am happy that I did because it has accurate tracking. I love that it has a smaller watch face. It fits on my wrist perfectly considering I have a small wrist. I really like that is light weight.
It is one of Garmin's basic watches but it does a great job for running purposes and basic watch purposes.

Trouble with Bluetooth and GPS is slow

Always turning Bluetooth off and on to connect Forerunner 45s to Garmin Connect. I have other Bluetooth connections that do not have this problem. Takes five minutes for GPS connection

Best Purchase I've Made

I've been using the Forerunner 45 for about a month and honestly, I was nervous that I wouldn't love it or get over the novelty very quickly. Boy was I wrong! This watch is AMAZING!! I love the GPS tracking for my runs but I didn't expect all of the other data that you get, i.e. cadence, VO2 Max, Stride Length, etc. I feel so incredibly informed and more in charge of my training and recovery. It's sleek, works great, and has a great battery life. I've even had the chance to use its incident reporting abilities when I got scratched by a careless driver. I reccomend this to everyone - especially if you're on a budget! This gadget is so much bang for your buck

Bought this 3 months ago and really enjoy the features that track overall health status like sleep, stress and VO2. Really recommend this watch for those who run often but not professionally.
