Not as good as I had hoped

I got this gps watch mainly to track my mileage on runs, the basic function. Problem is, it takes a REALLY long time for the GPS to connect. If I stand in my front yard for 5 minutes, it may connect. If I start my run, GPS may kick in after a half a mile, or more. The watch has many other functions that I don't necessarily need/use, BUT, the owner's manual (on-line only) is just awful. I can't even find what the icons stand for...even under the "children's" description! (Is this a kid's watch???). So, my take is: Meh

Heart rate can be a bit off, but what can you expect from a wrist watch. Does everything else just as it's suppose to. Battery estimations were pretty well bang on

This product works really well. But mine keeps having issues with connecting to my phone and then receiving messages to the watch. Kind of frustrating at times but does track fitness well.

First one wouldn't connect to phone so we returned for another and had the same issue. Can't return even though it doesn't work. Don't buy!

Great watch for the price

I have had this watch for a few months now. I use it to record runs, walks, hikes, biking, disc golf rounds, swimming, and kayaking. It records all the info I want and more. The face is easy to read and has many options. I love that the GPS tracks and maps it out in the app. That's huge for me when i'm trying to gauge mileage and routes. It's beneficial that you don't need your phone nearby to still capture your run. Once you get back to the house the phone syncs with your watch and the info is on the app. The only downside was the garmin app crashed for about a week this summer and had to wait for the app to reboot. Thankfully all my info was still there. It also records sleep patterns which i find useful. Ive been extremely happy with the watch and it is sturdy, waterproof, and nice looking.
Edit: I had a problem with the screen missing color in the shape of a dot. It was still under the 1 year manufacturer warranty. It was switched out at a local Garmin dealer and they gave me a new watch and sent my old one in as defective. I still love the watch. Hopefully it is a fluke on screen deficiencies.
