Relative to Garmin's other models, the forerunner 45 is great option that won't break the bank. It's a work horse in that it's reliable under tough conditions while providing basic data fields for numerous activities.

I've been wearing this daily for 2 years and absolutely love it. One of my favorite features of all Garmin watches in the ability to completely customize the watch face with the information that matters to me the most.

Great running watch! Wish it had track running as an activity option (the higher up models do), as the distance is sometimes shorter or longer when running on a track, but otherwise great!

I got this watch about a year and a half ago, mainly for the purpose of tracking my runs. I really enjoy it and definitely recommend it to anyone interested. The only two issues I have had with it are 1) sometimes it takes unreasonably long in order for the gps to get synced up and ready before a run, and 2) for some reason the watch would not display notifications off of my phone 100% of the time. Those things being said, the watch is excellent for what I got it for, tracking my miles and heart rate during runs.

The route guidance of the 945 does not always provide good turn by turn information causing you to miss the correct direction. It would be nice to see the same information you get from an Edge that provides street names.

This is a good watch for those who are new to Garmin and smart watches in general. The watch is durable, and performs well under stress. The watch does not have all of the features but it does not come at the premium price either. I recommend this for those new to charging watches and smart watches.
