Great features

I bought the watch about 2 months ago. I hade a vivoactive hr before. Some pros to the forerunner 45 are the new Garmin coach which is awesome and really helps you achieve your goals and it’s so light and comfortable, I forget I’m wearing it. The only downfall so far would have to be the battery life. It only lasts about 5-6 days where as the vivoactive hr I could get about 10-11 out of it. Overall great watch and would recommend for everyone.

Great for running. I like the Android notifications showing on the watch. The daily activity tracking was an unexpected function that I really appreciate.

I find the size of this watch to be perfect. I downgraded in terms of features from the Fenix 5S, but this is an upgrade in terms of comfort.

Does what I need and more

Having successfully used fitbit as an entry level gadget, I wanted more features. The Forerunner 45s allows me to monitor my stats during a session by simply looking at the watch face and not having to push buttons.

Great except for the surprises

This is about the fifth Garmin I have had and it is by far the best! I am particularly thrilled with how easy it is to charge compared with the previous models. It tracks my runs beautifully and provides a great recap after each run. The watch face is easy to read. I love the thinner band as it is far more comfortable than the thicker ones that came with the other watches. It USUALLY syncs with my iPhone when I finish my workouts and races. Even though the watch is only two months old, I have had to reboot it several times to get it to synchronize. This sync problem happens at unpredictable times, like when I am travelling. I was also surprised when I took a brief tumble at a race that it wanted to send an incident report and I had trouble getting the watch to resume tracking my run. If I had been in serious trouble because of my fall, it would have been helpful, but this was just a brief fall. Since I wasn't expecting it, I had trouble figuring out how to get the watch to begin tracking the remainder of my race. The Sync problem with the IPhone is one that should be looked into as this was also a problem with my previous Garmin Vivoactive HR.
