This is one of the best purchases I ever made. I have had it for a few months and I make light ice cream almost every day. I have found some good recipes and modified some to fit my own needs. It’s nice to be able to eat ice cream while on a diet and still lose weight. This is simple to use and I love it.

It never worked reliably and not even a year later with regular maintenance it doesn’t work at all. Will never waste my time or money with another Ninja product if this is the level of quality they find to be acceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love my Ninja Cream Scoop and Swirl and trying all the different functions. Making your own version of ice creams, protein ice creams, sorbets etc. is worth the purchase and knowing the ingredients you choose. Thanks Ninja, we’re enjoying our homemade ice cream desserts.

I received this as a gift months ago and I absolutely love it. I use it almost everyday. I have tried so many flavors! You have to wait and freeze your ingredients for a certain amount of time to get that nice soft ice cream texture. Best thing I have in the kitchen. I’m so happy i dont have to keep going out and buying store bought ice cream.

Poorly Designed from top to bottom

I bought this as a gift for my husband. I’ve never been so disappointed with a purchase. The only upside was it is easy to return. It is very aesthetic, this does not make up for the poor design flaws throughout. I left the pints out 15 minutes to thaw and passed it through the mixer 2 times on the first ice cream before putting on the swirl side. It only did a little over half before it put out an error and I would have had to mix it again on the right side, but as the piece that pushes the ice cream out backed up to release the pint a bunch of ice cream ended up behind the seal, then I had liquid ice cream running all down the side of the machine. Normally this would not be an issue only another design flaw, there is a seam halfway down with a small gap. This makes it impossible to clean. It also got all over the piece that turns the swirl part to push it forward, if they made this piece removable it would make it much easier to clean, however it is inside the machine and impossible to clean all the crevices. I can’t imagine how filthy this thing gets over time. The pints are also impossible to clean as they do not completely come apart (you can find several videos online and customers complaining about mold growing because it never dries). Also after doing a second ice cream I passed it through the mixer 4 times and it did go through the swirl side after that. Once it pushed out as much as it could there was still a pretty decent amount left in the bottom of the pint, we just had to scoop it out at that point.
I really wanted this to work, it was just way too much work and so much clean up and too many parts that were poorly designed.
