I bought this air conditioner to replace the smaller one that I had thinking it would cool my bedroom more since it had more BTU, unfortunately it did not. Additionally, it would change settings or just turn off on its own, now it doesn't work at all. I guess I will reinstall my old one because in Florida it is still Hotober.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that your new air conditioner is not cooling as expected. Multiple factors including indoor air flow being restricted. Make sure there are not curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner. The air filter being dirty has a direct effect on the performance of this unit. Clean the filter at least every 30 days. We have also provided some additional troubleshooting tips for this unit not properly cooling on page 14 of the Owner's Manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--AaNRouvU--/aynprhpzrgpyoy07ym83.pdf
