Genius design that will grow with your child

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our boys saw the toy packaging, they were super excited. Most of the ship pieces were simple for an adult to pop together, but the wings were difficult. My husband was able to pop them into place. As a parent, I really appreciate the versatility of this toy design to grow with the imagination of a child. Does your kid like to make spaceship sounds? Use the handle and let him or her fly around with the ship. Want to have a battle? Protect your base camp and build the bunker! Want to stack everything up for a massive tower play set. Go for it. Seriously, the ability in the design of this toy was genius. It kept our kids busy for a few hours of Day 1.

Motu origins point dread and talon fighter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Point dread and talon fighter is the perfect addition to the masters of the universe origins line. It is very easy to assemble and play with in seconds. The talon fighter has a removable handle to switch between play and display it has 2 attachments one laser cannon for the top of the the vehicle or a satellite dish. point dread the base has a built in plastic computer display that is amazing.the top of point dread has a perch to hold the talon fighter when not in the flight of your imagination.

Just shy of superb!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over all this would have been an awesome toy. However, the item didn't have a left and right wing. We received two left side wings. Other than that we love the colors and size is a lot larger than anticipated but that's a positive to us!!! Hate that it didn't come with at least one of the action figures but it is still a super neat toy!!

Great Addition to the MOTU lineup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the retro style box, but the kids weren’t huge fans. It didn’t really get their attention, but it got mine. Reminds me of the packaging styles of the 80’s or older. It takes some very simple assembly. I was almost able to completely assemble with one hand, while holding my phone to record with the other, but I wasn’t able to get the wings on with one hand. Any school age kid should be able to assemble themselves, which they will enjoy.
Once opened, the kids really liked it because it’s a lightweight, yet solid plastic. Bright colors that grab their attention and it’s the ideal size for school aged kids to hold and play with.
As a collector of toys, I always like to mention how it displays and displays this is a home run. Looks amazing on the shelf display but this is really meant to be played with and kids will love it. You can tell a lot of thought went into the product from size to color to packaging, it’s really well done and is a great addition to the new age Master’s of the Universe product line.

A Perfect Reimagining of a Classic Toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Masters of the Universe Origins Point Dread and Talon Fighter set is yet another great addition to the MOTU Origins line. Between the solid construction, nice detailing, and a plethora of play options for kids, this is a fantastic set.
Mattel has done a great job of recreating Point Dread and the Talon Fighter in a way that makes it feel like the original 80's versions of the toys, but with all the right kind of modern improvements. Whereas both the Talon Fighter and Point Dread definitely look like the vintage toys, they have significant improvements such as the handles inside the two seat cockpit of the Talon Fighter, as well as the windows that weren't present in the vintage toy. The console inside of Point Dread is also made of solid plastic with detailed stickers attached, instead of the cardboard insert of the original version.
The entire set is also built solidly and feels like it'll stand up to any level of regular play that kids could put it through (which is rare these days). There are also several accessories that allow for different configurations between the Talon Fighter and Point Dread; with the perch, radar dish, and blaster canon, you can configure the Talon Fighter as a scout ship, or full attack craft and Point Dread can be a bunker, listening outpost, or landing perch for the Talon Fighter. There is also a detachable handle that makes it easy for kids to fly the Talon Fighter around and pull off all kinds of maneuvers. If that wasn't enough, the top of Point Dread can attach to the top of the Origins version of Castle Grayskull. The Talon Fighter perched at the top of Castle Grayskull is definitely an impressive sight, sure to please modern kids and 80's kids alike.
All in all, this is pretty much a perfect reimagining of a classic toy and I highly recommend it.

My childhood cartoons are back to play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who faithfully watched He-Man and the Masters of The Universe Cartoon in the 80s, I was beyond excited for the resurgence of things related to the original cartoon. Being able to share things from my childhood with my little one is a feeling that will never get old. The instructions to this toy made it easy for us to build together. The only thing that would’ve made the experience more enjoyable is if we had the action figures to fit in vehicle. But that just gives us something to look forward to.

The Box Has Very Good Artwork Along With Great Scenery of The Characters On How One Would Play With Each Toy In Combination To Have Countless Hours of Fun. Each Accessory Included Are Very Well Made With Lots Of Details. The Green Rock Wall Almost Looks Real. One Minor Flaw Is That It Needs Just One Character To Entice Creativity. Other Than That Looking Foward To Completing The Set

Son Wasn’t Impressed at First

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son wasn’t impressed with this when he looked at the box, but once he took it out of the packaging he thought it was pretty cool. He used it to house his favorite stuffed animals. Haha. However, it hasn’t held his attention since. Maybe if we watched the show. My husband thought it was awesome looking!
