[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We ordered 4 of the adirondack chairs for a weekend home. It was reasonably priced since assembly was involved and therefore very affordable to buy 4. The order came in compact packaging and the illustrated assembly was easy to follow. The direction estimated assembly time of about 45 minutes. We assembled only one chair the first weekend. It took us about 1.5 hours to assemble since we had to figure out the individual parts and how they go together. It was also hard to locate the part numbers as some were labeled so lightly that you could barely make out the letter and number.
On the second weekend, we assembled 3 chairs. One took an hour, the second took 40 minutes and the third took 20 minutes. It greatly helped that this time we had a power drill with us. Since we were familiar with the parts and how they go together, we could efficiently locate, assemble and screw in the parts simultaneously. One caveat: some pre-drilled screw holes do not line up properly and some are very close to the edge that the screw may come out of the wood if you don’t pay attention. You may have to angle the direction of the screw. We have assembled hundreds of IKEA furniture and this problem never occurs. One less star for this subpar quality in product engineering.
Overall, the chair appears to be sturdy. We love that it can be folded and is light enough to be carried for storage. We plan to polyurethane the finish to improve durability although we do not plan to leave the chairs outdoor all season and only take them out when using. It is early spring when this review was written so we are unsure how it holds up to use and the elements during summer season.
With the outrageous price of assembled Adirondack chairs made of wood or poly, this folding Adirondack chair price seemed to good to be true only because you have to assemble it yourself. If you can handle that, then you e got yourself a good deal. If can’t, then prepare to spend a fortune on assembled chairs and bulky packaging and transport.

I’m not a carpenter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m 71 year old woman - I received a box of slats, a bag of screws and a Manuel to put the chairs together. Now I have to hire someone to put it all together. I’m very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a l little surprised at how many pieces there were to put together and the time involved…a little creaky when you sit down. My husband had to sand down the ends of a few pieces in order for the chair to fold up. These areas are stark white compared to the color of the rest of the chair. I will have to find a stain to match as the preservative I use is clear.
