I was not sure what to expect when I ordered the sand box I just knew that I could not buy the materials and build the sand box for what it was being sold for. When it arrives I was surprised at the quality - it went together easily and the kids were enjoying the new sand box in about an hour

Might get it assembled much quicker & easier if wood parts had labels!!!! The photo illustrations do not reflect the actual parts except seat back & part with hinges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the look and the benches on the sides when opened. The screen on the bottom allows for raun to filter through the sand. Requires at least 300 pounds of sand inside.

Nice setup for the sandbox. The kids liked it at first but stopped using it.
Watch out for bugs from the yard getting into the sand. Hard to keep out the ones that like sand.

The sandbox is great. The children love the benches. Design of the benches folding to become the lid is great. Assembly was challenging as none of the parts were labeled and many of them look a lot alike. I added an after market handle to one side of the cover to make opening easier.
