We finally had some nice weather and got to put together our sandbox! It was quick and easy to assemble, and aside from using our drill, all the parts and hardware were included in the box. It took about 30 minutes to assemble with two people. The kids immediately jumped in! It feels really sturdy though I wouldn't older kids climb on it when the lid is closed. We used ten 50 lb bags of sand to fill it and that was perfect. I love the bench feature and being able to keep the sand clean by closing the box is perfect.

Sand box with benches

The cedar wood is soft and the week after we got it outside, the winds ripped the bench off. My husband reattached the bench and added locks to keep it from happening again. As long as the wood holds up, I think that this is a great option for a sandbox. It gives a place for me to sit while playing with the kids and keeps the stray cats from using it as a litter box. You can use it with sand, dirt, peastone or other nature items (like leaves, nuts or pinecones)

I bought this for my granddaughter, who just loves it . We have stray cats around so that’s why we got this sandbox. It has built in bench’s that fold flat so it stays protected from cats.

I've purchased two, one for each grandchild. Plenty big and a clever seat and cover system. The seats unfold to cover the box to keep animals out. It's a great design and very kid friendly. My only complaint is that the bottom is a piece of cloth. That might work on a flat surface, but is not much good in a yard. I added a plywood bottom and raised it up off the ground, making it easier for grandparents to play and entertain. Great price. I'm not sure that I could buy the wood and fasteners for the price.

I bought this for my two grandchildren 4 and 1.5 years old. They love it, and we, the parents and grandparents, also like the product because it is made from the real cedar wood. It was also very simple to assemble.
The only issue we see is that it is too small so as the children grow it may not serve its purpose any more, even one or two feet longer would be ideal.
However, for the low price that we have paid for it, it is worth any penny and more.
Therefore, we highly recommend this sandbox.

I bought this for a 2 &7 old. It is an okay size for toddlers but too small for older kids. The benches are supposed to hold up 200lb but I would not lean against the back if you are over 130lb. The hinges are super small and weak. The boards are very thin. The design is cool but materials are too flimsy.
