My initial thoughts of the Ninja Nutri pro blender BN-401 was, that it was just worth purchasing. It has more than surpassed my expectations. Mixing my morning protein drink, is 180° from what I was doing previously. The smoothness and the creaminess of the drink is just amazing...

We purchased this for our camping trailer so I don’t have to go without my nutritional smoothies while we are on the go. It fits in the cupboard perfectly and is easily accessible for use. The smoothie preset allows me to do other things while the blender is in operation. This is an excellent addition to any small kitchen. Best smotthies ever!!

I like the option of having two container sizes (I purchased the 12 oz size at the same time as the blender.) The lighted timer is very helpful and I like the fact that there is a timer so that I could do other things while listening for it to stop. This mighty blender makes chopped ice into a smooth froth. The design of the base is a bit chunky-looking though. but other than that, I am VERY happy with this purchase!

Wow, I love this blender, it just arrived today. I crushed and juiced some grapes today, didn't taste one grape skin in my juice, great job Ninja, really love the auto pulse cycle, my juice stays really cold IQ auto cycle

In the past two years I have purchased two of these blenders. The first blender this past December disintegrated the motor and cooling fan and threw plastic shards everywhere.
The second blender I purchased this past February and now the blades are leaking when I blend anything with a liquid. The second blender also is starting to sound like the motor is coming apart like the first blender.

Tried to use for a protein shake, disappointed

I have the larger Pro Plus blender, which I use to make a daily protein shake. That blender is pretty big and a pain to clean each day, so I thought I'd try this smaller version. I made one protein shake (or tried to make) and then returned it. I added frozen fruit and other ingredients to make a single serving shake - it was pretty full, but still under the line. This blender did not even come close to pureeing the fruit or even mixing up the ingredients. I had to immediately go back to my Pro Plus. The blades are small and not serrated like the Pro Plus, so the shredding capability is way lower. I don't see how anyone can make a shake or smoothie in this blender unless the size they are making is what I'd consider a half serving or less. I still gave this two stars because I only tried the one thing in this blender - maybe it is better for other uses - but it failed so miserably at making a standard protein shake that I would probably not recommend trying this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This blender is great for making smoothies! I love that all the parts go in the dishwasher. I also purchased an extra blade for convenience and and 18 oz cup for when I want a smaller smoothie. I highly recommend this blender!
