Absolutely blown away by these buds, definitely worth the money and worth your time. The case is kind of pointless, but I'm sure it will be a plus for someone out there. Aside from the little gimmicks, these are just fantastic ear buds!

Charge case with controls is handy, sound is epic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got my JBL Live Earbuds 3 I wasn’t sure if I would like the charging case with controls on it, or if I would even use it. I have to say after having them for about 3 weeks now I’m pleasantly surprised by how handy the controls on the charge case are. I use the controls pretty frequently mainly because it’s easy and convenient. When you first set up the earbuds they have a feature that lets you know if you have a good deal or not. I didn’t like earbuds because I could never get them to sit properly and this feature totally solved that issue. The ambient aware feature may be my favorite thing though. I like that it allows you to hear what’s going on around you with the earbuds firmly seated in your ears. The features seem endless with these earbuds. You can give yourself a hearing test with them to see what is the ideal sound for your ears, very cool. All the features and charging case with controls aside, the best thing about these earbuds is the sound. By far the best set of wireless headphones, regardless of type, I’ve ever owned. I’ve worn them for around 5 1/2 - 6 hours continuously with the ambient aware setting activated on one charge. I highly recommend these earbuds.

Great advancements to an already amazing product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the pleasure of owning the previous version of these awesome headphones. The new Live Buds 3 offer a Smart Case where you can make adjustments to the buds on the fly. Previously you needed to go into an app on your phone or tablet to make adjustments but with the addition of the new Smart Case, you can use these buds with any bluetooth phone or devise. You can adjust the overall volume, equalizer, turn on and adjust the Spatial Audio feature, change and pause tracks, adjust the ambient sound, adjust the voice awareness and more. I like how the case also notifies you when you have a notification on your paired device. Other adjustments such as the screen saver and overall brightness can also be adjusted on the case screen. All of these functions can be scrolled through by swiping left and right on the display once you unlock it. The touch sensitivity works well. The one function in which will be very useful is the Find My Buds function.
Upon receiving the buds about 12 days ago, I charged the case and buds to 100 percent. Charging can be done by the included usb-c cable or wirelessly. I have been using them for roughly 2 hours a day. They fit comfortably and don’t fall out of my ears. I would say they are a little bit smaller than the previous version but still have amazing sound. These offer Hi-Resolution audio which brings a new dimension to my music. The Spatial Audio is also great but not made for all types of music. The Spatial Audio can be adjusted for what you are using them for. When I watch a movie it gives the sense of realism to the movie and makes the overall sound field larger. For music it gives a concert like sound which is also very immersive. For gaming it also gives you a sense of realism as if you’re really in the game. A truly fantastic feature that I am enjoying. The sound frequency of these buds is also perfect. Not lacking in any department and they get loud without distorting. I leave the equalizer off most of the time but it is nice to be able to switch the equalizer settings through the case menu. Adaptive noise canceling works flawlessly as the the ambient noise changes around you.
As mentioned before I feel these newer buds are slightly smaller than the previous generation. They stay in my ears better. They still have touch feature on both buds to do certain tasks such as change the noise settings, change tracks forward or back, play or pause or answer a call. You can assign different tasks to the buds via the app. The app does offer a few more features not available on the case for fine tuning and adjusting the buds.
You can use one or both buds if you want. Call quality is superb having a total of 6 microphones. The calls are in stereo if you have both buds in your ears. The range is also great. I can leave my phone in one room and move to the next without losing the connection. I used them recently for a long call lasting over two hours and still had plenty of battery life left in them. Today was day 12 of using these buds and the case was at 32 percent and the buds at 100 percent before taking them out of the case. Jbl states you get about 40 hours of use out of these on a charge and I believe it. Just 10 minutes in the case once they have depleted their charge will give you 4 more hours of use. That’s simply amazing to me.
Fit and finish of these buds is very premium. The case is sturdy and strong. Buds are light and feel great. Nothing about either piece feels cheap. Sound is premium and so are all of the features. The amount of things you can do and play with is endless. I’m constantly fiddling with them because there are so many features. I just want to keep trying them all.
It’s nice to see a great product getting even better over time. The previous version was my go to set of buds. I truly loved everything about them. The new Live Buds 3 are even better in every way which makes these my new go to set.

Excellent noise cancellation with immersive sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Live Buds 3 impress with their well-rounded performance. The Active Noise Cancelling is a standout feature on these ear buds. It effectively reduces common background noise, making them great for blocking out coffee shop hum and did especially well during air travel. These may not be the absolute best noise cancelling on the market when compared to “over the ear” headphones, but I can honestly say that it is much better than the “Pro version” of my other headphones. The noise cancellation on these is strong enough for most situations, especially considering the price tag.
The JBL Live Buds 3 also deliver fantastic sound quality. Just like other JBL products, these buds boast a rich, bass-forward sound which make them perfect for bass heavy music genres. However, the sound isn't muddy at all. Mids and highs remain clear, ensuring a balanced listening experience.
And for those who crave a touch of serenity, but don’t want to listen to your yoga playlist, the JBL Live Buds 3 also include a “relaxing sounds” feature. Through the app, you can mix and match calming ambient sounds like ocean waves, campfire or nighttime sounds (or a combination of them), further enhancing your relaxation during commutes or while taking a nap. Surprisingly, this was something I found myself using more than I expected, especially when combined with the Active Noise Cancellation. My new nap companions.
Lastly, something that I though would be a gimmick, but found myself using a lot, is the screen on the case. You can control some of the basic features from the case, such as enable or disable noise cancellation, skip to the next song or change the volume on your music. I found myself leaving the case on my desk and controlling my music with the small screen. You can quickly stop the music and turn on the talk-thru settings when someone stops by your desk.
All in all, I am very impressed with these buds. The features, combined with a comfortable fit, make the JBL Live Buds 3 a great choice for anyone seeking a well priced option with both strong noise cancellation and immersive sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok. First off, I have never seen such a fancy bud case. This thing is amazing! The case charges your buds, and it is small enough to carry in your pocket. You can personalize your case by changing the photo on front. You can choose what type of music you are listening to, to adjust the sound of your buds. The JBL Live Buds 3 have a quality sound like no other. You can hear and feel the bass, without the loudness and hurting in your ears. They adjust well and stay in place. The only thing I would change is that they don’t connect to more than one device. It would be nice to connect them to my headphones so hubby and I could listen to the same music.

The futuristic buds with a boom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the JBL Live Buds 3. I use them mostly when I workout at the gym or for meditation. I find the noise cancellation satisfactory when i meditate but then i can change the awareness level when im at the gym to hear my surroundings. I am very impressed with the sound quality and the opportunity to change the sound settings in any fashion i wish. I did find it a bit challenging to link the buds to numerous devices and also the initial link to my iPhone. I really enjoy the mini touchscreen and the fact that I don’t need my phone to access features available on the touch screen plus it’s just really cool to have a touchscreen on an ear buds case. It definitely sets JBL apart!

Active Noise Canceling vs. Ambient (noise) Aware setting is convenient to be able to toggle on and off by touching the left ear bud. Would be cool to be able to do more customizing of the case touch screen background/ displays.
