I stored my left over soup in the inner container in the frig after dinner and then put it in the crock pot the next morning. It was hot by lunchtime! No more waiting in line for the microwave at work!

This is great to have at work. I've used it for leftover breakfast casserole and tomato soup and it worked just fine. The lid for the food container does not stay on after the first use --I have to put a piece of plastic wrap and two or three rubber bands to prevent a spill.
