Does not suck out all the air

Used a few times. Does not suck all the air out. Doesn't make a consistant line on where it needs to be placed inside the unit to seal it. Not as user friendly as previous models. Only bought cause our other one crapped out.

This is not as sturdy as my old unit, and I wish the handheld attachment wasn't "attached", but would rather this be an included accessory like my old one, that I could move from machine to machine, as I have several. I like the Marinade function, but like the older models are better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Weak motor that can’t actually handle moisture.

This product died on me after barely being used.
It worked well the first few uses, but the vacuum motor started to choke out. Then I was using it in “moist” mode to pack chicken breast for freezing, and it aspirated chicken juice, seized, and promptly stopped working.

We always recommend pre-freezing meats and other moist foods for 1-2 hours before vacuum sealing. Excess liquids from moist foods can cause the unit to not vacuum, and permanent damage can occur. Kindly check the upper and lower gaskets and drip tray of the machine. If either of these is damaged or dirty, the unit will not vacuum properly.

Received this product as a gift for Christmas. I sealed 2 bags of whole bean coffee before the product completely failed! I read and complied with all directions before using the sealer. Allowing the machine to rest 2 minutes between use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement model

My original vs3180 or 82 stopped Vacuuming. My warranty was good , but it was replaced 3130 which means I'm cheated out of a function (sous vide) .. nice they replaced but lost why I purchased the foodsaver .. very upset . Thanks for replacing

The vacuum sealer doesn't take a lot of counter space and looks very nice. I have used the system to seal beef and chicken for the freezer. The bags were easy to make. I also used the system to reseal a potato chip bag. I am pleased with this so far and will purchase the containers in the future.
