Great first robo-vac

This is our first robot vacuum. Was a little skeptical about using any robot vacuum, especially living with a dog. Was worried built up dander would be an issue as our upright vacuum pulls up so much dog hair and dander by itself. After running our normal vacuum initially, we started the Q5+ off with a scheduled cleaning every other day. Am impressed with how much hair the internal dustbin can capture over 1200 square feet of mixed carpet and hardwood. No go zones, obstacle avoidance, floor mapping, and room segregation works perfectly. No issus with wifi or setup. The app is also very intuitive and user friendly. Having a self emptying dock is a plus. My partner does have longer hair which can get wrapped around the vacuum brush, causing the self emptying to get stuck on occasion as it exits the vacuums bin. This vacuum does have great suction though, I've pulled my younger daughters sock out of the docking stations bin before. The app does a great job of telling you if there's a clog in either the vacuum or the self emptying dock. My only real issue would be that there isn't a bagless option. A reusable bin in the docking station should be standard in 2024. Please engineer future models to allow for a bagless dock. If so, Roborock will be my next purchase.

With two dogs who shed a ton of hair and three kids under the age of 5, the roborock has changed our lives for the better. We didn't have time to stay on top of vacuuming. Now roborock does a fantastic job every night after the kids go to bed. Very happy with this purchase.

We've had our Q5 a couple of months. She's been a true game-changer for us.
The software is the thing. It was not hard to set up her memory-mapping for each room, and this makes it great to choose the rooms (kitchen and living room most) for daily cleaning.
Rosie (yes, we've named her) covers the floors very thoroughly - you can see where she's been in real time if you follow her progress on your phone app - doing a particularly nice job around baseboards and furniture legs.
We still marvel at how much cat hair, crumbs, and everything else she captures each time!

I was so hesitate in purchasing a robo vacuum but I am disabled and can not do the vacuuming myself. Was going to pay someone to come in and my son suggested buying one. He did research into the best to purchased so I got the Roborock. I have a hairy German Shepherd and this vacuum is such a surprise. My carpet is cleanest it’s been in years. Even the edges. I absolutely love it. So grateful for a product that lives up to what it’s suppose to do.

Cleaning automated but too lund when empting

I do love the fact that it cleans dirt and mops the floor. The auto empty dock works well. The only major drawback is it's very loud when it's emptying.

I love this little lady. The Q5 maps efficiently and does a great job vacuuming. It's easy to send to a zone or room to vacuum and it doesn't bang into chair or sofa legs.
This robot replaced an irobot S9+. I would have it vacuum my living area at 3 AM. To do so, I needed to program my lights to come on during the cleaning and the iRobot would still bang into everthing and wake me up. It was damaging my chair legs, that's when I decided it had to go.
The Q5+ neither require my lights to be on, nor bang into thing. After one month, I have yet to be woken up by the device. It cleans very well, and the bin is easier to remove and empty. I love this little lady.
Now my s9+ cleans my outside porch when it's dry and dirty. It does a fine job there.
