This vacuum does exactly as it says. It vacuums our house with minimal involvement from us.
We have a mix of hardwood and rug (more rug than wood though). The vacuum does a great job with both and navigates our furniture well (I’d recommend adding furniture to your map - it has vastly improved the vacuum’s navigation).
We have 3 people with long hair in our house and I do have to regularly cut the hair from the vacuum, but this is very easy with the tool provided.
I was surprised by how quiet the vacuum was, I was expecting it to be as loud as our shark stratos but it’s so quiet!
We do have one rug with longer (~3inch) fringe on 2 ends. The vacuum cannot go over the fringe successfully. The fringe always gets caught in the wheels of the vacuum. To remediate this, I have the vacuum clean that room in as a Zone to avoid the fringe. We do have another rug with 1inch fringe and the vacuum handles that fine.

I purchased this after reading a recent review in Wirecutter. I had owned robotic vacuums for over a decade and struggled with them getting stuck and having ongoing tech issues. I was amazed at the roborocks performance immediately. It is significantly more quiet while having more vacuum power (I look these things up). It has not gotten stuck once and comes with fantastic features like remote control. I couldn't be more happy and wish I had purchased one of these years ago.

While this thing does a good job in wide open spaces on wood floors, I'm really surprised how poorly it does with small disruptions, changes from wood floor to rug or carpet, and even small thresholds. It leaves behind big piles wherever it meets a change in surface that I then have to either sweep or use the large vacuum on. For the price, not worth the job it does.
