I've had several iRobot roombas over the past 15 years and have been increasingly disappointed by them. I was nervous to switch brands BUT I'M SO GLAD I DID. Better suction, better navigation, less need for me to intervene to clean golden retriever hair out of the brushes/bin. I love the multi floor mapping ability, too!

I got so fed up with my iRobot vacuum, which would constantly get stuck and not remember where to vacuum, let alone figure out where the docking station was. I read a review that the Roborock was a much better buy and I am so glad I listened. It is BY FAR the best robot vacuum I've had (I also had the shark previously). It is smart, doesn't bang up the furniture, and quiet (relatively speaking). I also find that the parts are better made and it doesn't get clogged up as much. I HIGHLY recommend this vacuum.

This robot has been life changing especially when you have a 2 year old who makes nothing buts messes when he eats the only regret that I have is not spending the extra money for the mopping feature Roborock makes a fantastic robot vacuum!! Do your self a favor and buy one!!

Exceeded my expectations

Bought a Q5 last month recommended by my neighbor, she has 3 roborock vacuums and all of them are working great. I had a robotic vacuum 2 year ago, it’s more like a tool but not a robot. It hits the chair and turns around, hit again and spins around. The roborock Q5 is smart and finds its way back to the base every time after cleaning.
Pros:
-app is simple and user friendly.
-quick mapping with up to 4 floor maps.
-cleans very efficiently, suction power is strong to pick up pet hair.
-scheduled room cleaning.
-auto emptying is good for people with severe allergies like me.

Seems to be the right brand and model for my home

So far real good. Jumps over thresholds commonly used with plank flooring installation with ease. Fairly quick mapping due to LIDAR. Will always find it's way home when finished despite the tight area I have the home dock placed with no free space on one side and a little over 2 foot of free space in front of it. Since it has a Auto-Empty docking station which sucks out the debris in the onboard dust bin it tends to stay cleaner reducing required maintenance. It takes about 80 minutes to vacuum about 850 square feet of mostly hard flooring. About my only complaints are common with almost all of the robot vac regardless of the brand. Cannot vacuum under some furniture due to the Q5+ height and width and cannot get into corners due to it's round shape. For my no pet home we use to dust mop and vacuum once a week. With the Roborock Q5+ we have it vacuum twice a week and we hand dust mop and vacuum every 1-1/2 months in the areas the Roborock cannot reach. If we had pets and/or children we would double or triple the cleanings our Roborock makes per week.

Not empty all the dust

The robot works perfect except there are few dust left inside the dust bin after the emptying process, I'll take it for now, but I hope that you guys can optimize it and empty all the debris.
