Great for carpet! Work very well. I bought this for the rooms upstairs, it had no problem navigating the four bedrooms and hallway. I’m impressed by how much it picked up. I also have the S7+ that works flawlessly on tile and hardwood floors. Which is the reason I got the Q5. I didn’t need the mopping feature on my carpeted upstairs. Great job Roborock!

This is our third vacuum robot. I finally decided I only needed a vacuum that can self empty (I did go back and fourth about the fancy ones that wash floors too). I had researched and watched too many YouTube videos because I don't want to waste money. I just bit the bullet and got this one. I LOVE it! I mean it is ridiculous how impressed I am with it. The initial mapping did not take long at all. The mapping for multiple floors is amazing! It does great with all the wood floors, slate, tile, and a large area rug. It gets all the crumbs, dog/people hair, grass and dry mud from shoes. It seems to be made well and will last for awhile when taken care of properly.

We loved our Roborock so much that, when we needed something for another space, we bought a second. Really glad this one has the self-emptying dock. The one thing I'd suggest for the next model is for the unit to alert you when it's time to empty the dock bag. Still, how can I complain? I don't have to vacuum any more!

This vacuum is great, especially when it comes to hardwood floors. We have a cat, so it doesn’t quite get a deep clean of our carpets, but it is nice for regular maintenance (we usually run it a few times a week, and then use a normal vacuum before guests come over lol).
Battery life is great, app is great, especially the new scheduling feature. The one issue we’ve had is when we moved the dock—it couldn’t figure out where it was, so we had to recreate the map via the quick mapping feature. After that, it worked perfectly like normal.

I read the reviews. I also read the New York Times write up on robot vacuums. They said this particular model was the one to buy. I am so glad I purchased it! I have another robot vacuum by shark and it doesn’t even compare. I don’t know how Roborock did it but it gets everything off of the floors, as well as in the corners! I am so glad I purchased this vacuum, and when I am ready to replace the other Shark that I have at a vacation home, I will be buying this! It is fantastic!

No app or Wi-Fi needed! Maps great and doesn't damage furniture!

Exactly what I was looking for!!! This vacuum is thorough, quiet, and easy to manage. I bought this as a Christmas gift, and he didn't have a smartphone or great internet coverage in his home so I was really worried about finding one that works well without Wi-Fi or an app. I couldn't find ANYTHING on other sites about how their vacuums work without a Wi-Fi or bluetooth connection, but I saw at least 5-6 reviews for the Roborock Q5+ vacuum that specifically mentioned how well it performed without any external connections so I figured I'd give this a try. It performs flawlessly... Practically the first time through. I was stunned that it worked as well as it did the first time, and it only got better as it went through further rounds.
You really can simply plug in the dock/vacuum, let it charge, press the clean button, and it will figure out everything on its own without any additional effort. It's THAT simple. If you change floors, you just pick it up from the dock and set it down on a different floor before pressing clean. The dock always stays put, and it will automatically sense that it is on another floor, map the new floor out, and vacuum accordingly. We usually block any stairways that it could fall down, just in case, but I'm not sure it's necessary. It always knows where it is in the house, and if the floor is particularly dirty, it will go back to its dock to charge and resume the job later [or if on a different floor than the dock, it will go back to where it started].
Also, this vacuum WON'T BUMP FURNITURE, which other robotic vacuums seem to be notorious for. It does a fantastic job slowing down and precisely lining up with the furniture to clean around it without scraping or damaging anything. This was really important as well since he owns a good bit of delicate, handmade furniture in pristine condition. Again, didn't even need the app or Wi-Fi to do this. It dodged furniture remarkably the first time through, and even better afterwards. It also does not require light to sense things, unlike many other vacuums, so you could have it running while you're sleeping at night if you wanted.

I bought this a couple months ago to replace a doddering iRobot Roomba, and couldn’t be happier with my new Roborock! Part of our home is a music studio with a bunch of music stands and other equipment - this vacuum navigates around it like a pro! Also, the vacuuming is organized, logical, and efficient (the opposite of my old Roomba). And the app interface is a breeze. Highly recommend!
