One side stopped working completely

Have had this toaster for not quite a year. Today the 2 left side elements stopped working. The lever won’t stay down. It has worked perfectly until today. Disappointing

Just bought a brand new toaster plug isn’t long enough for any outlet ?? What a joke!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
