This did not work as described. It would not boil water. even in a small pan. That was what we needed it for so it failed. We returned it for a full refund without problem.

Tip on making the hot plate hot enough for canning

I’m using this hot plate for water bath canning. I found quickly that I had to use a hot water pot to boil water for the canner. Otherwise the water would never boil. It works perfectly doing this! !!!!

Great for frying something outside. Heats up quickly. Beware when turning temp to high when heating something, like oil. Once it hits the high heat, it will take a while to cool down. Better off heating at a steady med high.
