I recently purchased this Cuisinart single burner hot plate. The small stove in my mobile home doesn't get hot enough to boil water so I bought this burner from Cuisinart. In a jiffy my coffee is done. The burner is 8 inches and fits my pots and pans.
Great little hot plate! I bought and donated it to our church! We cook for shut-ins, homeless, and just anyone who needs a good home cooked meal! Today we made chicken and dumplings and we boiled the chicken in the pot, made the stock and made the entire meal in the pot! It worked fantastic! Heated, hot and quick, held a large stockpot and worked out great! We were so happy with it, we ordered a second one!
Needed while we are remodeling our kitchen. Works as expected with the fry pans including iron fry pan. However, it takes a bit longer to boil a big pot of water.
My quest for a simple, tabletop burner for cooking Shabu Shabu was successful. The one-dial temperature control works well and the non-coil burner heats evenly (and cleans easily!). Its simple design is great for tabletop use-not clunky or huge and fits a 28cm Shabu pot perfectly.
After my building's gas got turned off 1 year ago, the building gave us inexpensive electric burners. I cook for a crowd and the building's burners were too small for my pots. The Cuisinart burner is a great size for any large pots and is very sturdy as well. It heats up and boils quickly.
I use this burner on my balcony to cook and it has the same heat response as a regular stove top. The machine could be build a little bit better to ensure it can be cleaned easier with less exposed metal to ensure it does not heat up all around the edge too much.
Works great on high, seems well made. Difficult to find other settings, almost as if there is only a high and a very low (almost off) setting. Works well with any pan including cast iron as the burner plate is very sturdy.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us—we’re glad to hear the burner heats well on high and works reliably with a variety of cookware. For more precise temperature control, allowing the burner to warm up for a minute before adjusting the dial and using pans with flat, even bases can help stabilize medium‑range settings. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience.
