We purchased this burner to use while our kitchen is being remodeled but I'm sure we will find other uses going forward. The burner works great. It heats up in a reasonable amount of time and provides consistent results. It works a little differently from a normal electric stove burner. You don't need to turn the dial to the high setting to get it to heat up and then turn it down to the heat you want. You just set it to the level you want and it heats to that point. I usually use "1" when I cook most things. The base is very steady and solid. I'm very happy with this purchase.

It really boils water quickly, and the control knob adjusts for slower cooking very well. It has a very solid cast iron construction and just feels like a quality made product. Other brands I looked at were very light and cheap. I would be afraid of using most of them. Good job on a great product.

Very nice and functional for countertop use. I really like it a lot. The only negative for me is the fact the cast iron burner itself does not lend itself to cleaning nicely. Yes, you can clean it, but it never looks really good. This small complaint does not take away from the functionality of the item, which works very well and I think it was a good purchase.
