This is a great product! We used it during a kitchen remodel when we didn't have access to our stove. It does get super hot so if you are used to setting a gas burner to high to get the water to boil, you only need this burner set on 3. Overall, it is a wonderful product.

This is a replacement for one that was sprayed with water while on, damaging the element. You really won’t find a better, even heating hot plate than this for $50. I have a backup plate, all that did was ensure I replaced my good one quicker.

So we lost gas service in my apartment building and restoration is slated to be months to a year. I immediately went out and bought this wonderful hot plate. It is efficient, simple to use, and I don’t know what I would do without it! The unit my landlord provided doesn’t even come close to producing an end product, in other words prepared foods, as does my Cuisinart.
