We purchased this burner to use while our kitchen is being remodeled but I'm sure we will find other uses going forward. The burner works great. It heats up in a reasonable amount of time and provides consistent results. It works a little differently from a normal electric stove burner. You don't need to turn the dial to the high setting to get it to heat up and then turn it down to the heat you want. You just set it to the level you want and it heats to that point. I usually use "1" when I cook most things. The base is very steady and solid. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This unit has worked well for us in the kitchenette in our temporary apartment. Just realize that after a time at desired temp, the unit shuts off but continues to cook until the heat comes on again. Also I unplug after each use.

It has worked well for what I needed it for, an additional portable burner. It does soups and sauces well, but doesn’t compare to gas burners for sauté and sear. Overall, it’s great for heating liquid foods up. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again knowing what I wanted to cook.
