We bought one and liked it so well that we bought a second one. Between the two of them, and our counter-top oven, our propane range hardly gets used. It heats very quickly. It also takes a long time to cool down after it is shut off, which I don't know if it is a positive or a negative feature. It's sized right for a typical saucepan.

I bought this burner because we have an electric stove, and the burners are never flat. Skillets and saucepans are always sitting at angles, plus the stove is hard to clean. This portable burner is wonderful! I can place it anywhere I want, it works great, and cleanup is a breeze! Once we remodel and get a nicer stove, I will move this portable burner right into our RV!

I've been using this product daily since I bought it about 2 months ago and it has worked like a charm. The burner has a protective coating that maintains the heat while protecting the inner workings, unlike the old style hotplate. It also stays hot for a long time after turning it off -- a good tip for keeping water warm without using needless energy.
