I can’t believe how I lived without this! Love the app on my phone, my wife can monitor it on the counter too. On Thanksgiving, I used it to monitor both the white and dark meats. I’ve recommended to my friends and to those in foodservice!

Outstanding thermometer when cooking roasts or other large cuts. It takes nearly all of the guesswork out of the equation. You'll always know exactly where your at in your cooking cycle and how long it will be before you can pull it from the oven. Knowing exactly when your roast will be ready carve (after resting) makes cooking & timing of any side dishes a breeze.
The only caveat here is the fact that the probe must be inserted fully up to and including the safety notch. This renders it useless for some of the smaller or thinner cuts such as pork tenderloins, small breasted birds, etc. You'll need your old hot tipped wired remote thermometer here.
Considering the High Cost of the unit I would expect there to be no caveat's limiting it's use, hence the (4) Star rating. To be fair however, it was purposely designed to perform extremely well under the specified conditions, and it it does so, flawlessly.

Somewhat disappointed

I'm a little disappointed with mine especially at this price point. One of my probes stopped working. I am using the second probe and it works fine. I have a Typhur instant read which I love and a Dome Air fryer which I love too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had the two prob unit for several months now and to be honest about it they work better than any competitor hands down they are very dependable and have made my life so much better when I am cooking, and I love to cook now I have to say there is something out there that is better, because of range!!! That been said it is their gold series !!! I wanted to try them with all my different equipment and most of my smokers have moving shelves which means no wires! These temp units work flawless in these situations with thick steel machines and the receiving unit is setting on table next to it! Both the silver and the gold units work flawlessly I won’t use any other brand now they have proven them self give me a nother year and I will write a nother Rating for these units…!!! I might be looking at a two probe gold unit and giving my silver unit to my wife for the oven and her cooks indoors!!! I would more than recommend their equipment and the warranty is fantastic even though I haven’t had to use it at all!!! Oh buy the way I would have never wrote a review like this for any other wireless units that I have spent a lot of money for !!!!!!

Please make the next version either thinner (best) and/or shorter (or have a shorter minimum insertion length). Otherwise it's done everything I need it to do well and the app is actually useful.

I purchased the Typhur just in time for Thanksgiving. My turkey had no chance of being overdone the fight was over. I have used several other brands and have had the usual complaints about their performance. This product is the best of the best. the compact size, the convenient storage of the probes ,simple charging of the probes, no batteries to replace, simple cook setup ,the choice of using the Typhur body or the smart phone app to monitor the cook is a game changer. not to mention it Works Fantastically. the frustration of a lost connection and over cooked meats is gone. looking forward to Christmas / Holiday dinner
