Cooking to hit 2 different temps in the same oven

I was roasting turkey in two different pans (same oven) one white meat, the other dark. The Typhur Sync worked perfectly. I was cooking to hit two different temperatures, so dark meat went in for about 30 minutes and then the white meat, which cooked in about 40 minutes. They were both ready within minutes of each other. It saved a lot of opening and closing the oven to check with an "instant" read thermometer. Plus my sister-in-law was amazed and said she "had to get one", which instantly upped my "cool" level.

I can’t believe how I lived without this! Love the app on my phone, my wife can monitor it on the counter too. On Thanksgiving, I used it to monitor both the white and dark meats. I’ve recommended to my friends and to those in foodservice!

Outstanding thermometer when cooking roasts or other large cuts. It takes nearly all of the guesswork out of the equation. You'll always know exactly where your at in your cooking cycle and how long it will be before you can pull it from the oven. Knowing exactly when your roast will be ready carve (after resting) makes cooking & timing of any side dishes a breeze.
The only caveat here is the fact that the probe must be inserted fully up to and including the safety notch. This renders it useless for some of the smaller or thinner cuts such as pork tenderloins, small breasted birds, etc. You'll need your old hot tipped wired remote thermometer here.
Considering the High Cost of the unit I would expect there to be no caveat's limiting it's use, hence the (4) Star rating. To be fair however, it was purposely designed to perform extremely well under the specified conditions, and it it does so, flawlessly.

Loses signal more than 10 feet away from smoker

Just got one for Christmas. Love the app and the data it gives. Unfortunately it only works with the base less than 10 feet from the smoker. Any more than that and it loses signal. I got a wireless thermometer so I don't have to leave the base out side in the elements. Probably going to be sending it back for a refund.

Somewhat disappointed

I'm a little disappointed with mine especially at this price point. One of my probes stopped working. I am using the second probe and it works fine. I have a Typhur instant read which I love and a Dome Air fryer which I love too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
