The Typhur Sync is the absolute BEST meat thermometer available. I smoked a 5lb prime rib and it was the best piece of meat I’ve ever done. Temperature was perfect. Don’t hesitate - put your Meater (or any other similar device in a drawer and buy the Sync. You won’t regret it!

Best wireless meat probe I ever used

The meat probe just works... Which is more than can be said about most other ones that I tried. If you are looking for a meat probe that has Wi-Fi connection capabilities, there isn't one better.
I used these probes on at least 20 different cooks and in 3 different grills (Weber kettle, Weber Genesis, and a kamado) and I have had zero connectivity issues. I keep the hub within 20 feet of the grill and the probes stay connected. That was definitely not the case with some of the other more well-known meat probes that have constant disconnections.

Works great, everything I hoped it would be. I've only had it a short time but everything I've cooked has been done to perfection. I really appreciate the prediction of when the meat will reach the temperature I've set.

Excellent…. Except for one glaring flaw

This does everything you’d want it to, and more. But… beware. The WiFi radio on the base is unbelievably weak. It can barely register a signal from your access point or router even when it’s within 15 feet of it with a clear line of sight. This would be a five star review but when the device can’t stay connected to a very strong signal, it greatly dimishes its value.

Works like a dream. First cook was a whole chicken in my pellet smoker. It was spot on telling me when to remove it and let it rest. Definitely the juiciest chicken I’ve been able to make before thanks to this sweet probe.

Typhur wireless meat thermometer is well made from metal.
The previous meat thermometer I used had a plastic dock station, was rather flimsy, had connectivity problems and quit working shortly after the guarantee expired. It did have a feature that alerted me when it was time to turn the meat that Typhur thermometer does mot have
Typhur app is easy to use and I have had no problems with connectivity.
This thermometer was a little more expensive than others but it has two probes instead of
one.
The three year guarantee is outstanding compared to one year guarantees from other companies.

Excellent Temperature Probe but…

I bought this dual probe a month ago to use on a bbq turkey for Thanksgiving . It was great EXCEPT for one issue which prevented a 5-Star rating. The ambient temperature is not even close to being accurate so be sure not to base any cooking decisions on this temperature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cooking to hit 2 different temps in the same oven

I was roasting turkey in two different pans (same oven) one white meat, the other dark. The Typhur Sync worked perfectly. I was cooking to hit two different temperatures, so dark meat went in for about 30 minutes and then the white meat, which cooked in about 40 minutes. They were both ready within minutes of each other. It saved a lot of opening and closing the oven to check with an "instant" read thermometer. Plus my sister-in-law was amazed and said she "had to get one", which instantly upped my "cool" level.
I would recommend this to a friend!
