these cases are great, i've bought them for all the iphones that I have had. However, the case for the iphone se, or iphone 7 with built in screen protector was the absolute best, the phone was always in perfect condition. maybe it's a marketing thing to sell screen protectors but why can't there be built screen protectors for the 12 & 13?? built in screen protectors are the way to go!! I love these products they have always kept my phone safe. thank you Otterbox

I stay up to date on iPhones and wouldn't get one without a Defender case. I have dropped my phone, on tile, on cement, out of the car and every time I am so grateful that it is protected and that I have never had an issue with my phone. Good work Otterbox!

My old iPhone had an Otterbox Defender on it. On vacation I left it on the roof of my car. Flew off at a spot where you’re driving 50 mph. Came back an hour later looking for it and on Find My iPhone it showed it was in the road. It had been sitting in the center of a busy road in Mt Pleasant, SC (IOP Connector.). I totally expected it to be smashed and when I picked it up, the phone was working perfectly. I’ll never use anything else.

The case had been doing fine but never put it to the test. It fell out of my jacket pockets at the grocery store and found this shatter when I picked it up. Didn’t protect my phone at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
