I’ve always had otterbox symmetry cases for my phones and they have all been excellent at protecting them and this one is no exception! I do have two gripes with this case though. The case is very difficult to remove. But I assume that this is no different than any other case for the iPhone 12 Pro just due to the boxy design. The other is that the earl grey is just too green looking. I was hoping for it to be a more normal grey that would go with the Pacific Blue 12 Pro I have but it is not that. I think it would go well with the 11 Pro Midnight Green shade way more. But overall solid case!
I purchased two new Otterbox cases for my iPhone 12. Both cases had to be returned because they were too tight, especially around the power button. The case would leave keep the power button engaged, leaving the phone inoperable. This was my experience with both the Symmetry and the Aneu cases.

For future reference, when installing a Symmetry Series case for iPhone 12/12 Pro/12 Pro Max/12 mini, we recommend starting with the upper right corner of the device (camera and power button corner). After that, the following 3 corners should pop on much easier.

I've dropped my phone already using this case, and while it certainly protected the phone I find the buttons hard to use. You need to have your finger aligned juuuuust right to actually press the button through the case.

Different from previous cases

I’ve had the Symmetry case for my last two iPhones and really liked them both. But this one feels different. The cutouts for the speakers and lightning port aren’t rounded, so they feel sharp. When I rest my pinky under the phone, it gets irritated quickly. Also, the volume and power buttons are a little difficult to press and don’t “click”. Lastly, the back of the case is very slick. I wish it had more grip to it.

Falls apart within a year.

I have bought this phone case twice before, both times it has broken down at the rubber siding within a year. The rubber doesn’t stay attached to the plastic backing, and becomes loose. This has lead to my screen protector cracking because it doesn’t protect the edges of my phone anymore. I would not recommend this product.

First of all it’s bright so easy to find, I’m always loosing my phone the case is built way better then other cases. It feels impressive in hands. Get it!
I bought this because I love otter box protection. I’ve used otter box folio style for over 10 years but now the only have the fold over wallet look which I don’t like. So I bought apple folio and this case. While the folio stayed in place if the phone doesn’t move, it always dropped off if it moved. Even the slightest. It is passing through the magnet and that’s not strong enough. It needs a magnet in it. Needs less to say I ended up with apple case with the magnet in it so the folio is secure and no issues with it dropping off just picking it up.

Apologies for any confusion prior to purchase, but this specific Symmetry Series Case wasn't actually engineered to be fully compatible with Apple's MagSafe ecosystem.
Although this Symmetry Series case will allow a charge to pass from the MagSafe charger through to the iPhone, it doesn't allow for a magnetic seal to occur. That being said, the OtterBox Symmetry Series+ with MagSafe will make the magnetic connection you're after!
I bought it expecting the same quality from the last otter box product I purchased about 7 years ago. It fits and will probably work just fine, but darn is it ugly and used looking. It’s already been suggested that I get a new cover. Sigh, you can do better.
