Does not protect back of phone

My phone slipped off of my desk onto my hardwood floor and landed face down. This is a fall of about one meter. The screen is fine, but the entire back of the phone is shattered. It's covered by insurance, but I still owe a hefty deductable. And I will also need to buy a new case on top of it! Now I'm in the hole hundreds of dollars, I've used otterbox for years and nothing like this has happened before.

Cracked screen after 2 weeks of use.

I purchased a new phone two weeks ago and placed a screen protector and this case on it immediately. The phone has not been dropped to any sufficient degree and there are no impact marks on the screen, yet my 2 week old phone screen is cracked. My last phone was 6 years old and never had a crack. Why bother if it won't protect?

Our warranty won't be able to help with any device repairs, though we would very much like to get you set up with a new case, and potentially a new screen protector if the one you were using was also an OtterBox product, for use once that has been taken care of. Dropped my phone on its back and the entire back shattered with the case on the phone still! I’ve usually been pleased with my previous otterbox purchases but this case did not do its job and it did start to peel and warp pretty early on

The Symmetry series for iPhone 12 is perfect protection. I have dropped my phone a few times getting out of my truck and No Damage. I always end up with a Symmetry case, it just works. I highly recommend by personal experience.

I bout this when the iPhone 12 Pro came out. It fits fine but its rather slick especially the sides. I am concerned I may drop the phone. Its how the straight edges of the iPhone 12 are now and the cases lack of silicon on the sides in many places. The design needs an update.

1st time user and not so happy

Bought mine here in the Philippines after I got my 12 pro. Around Feb. 2021. Was happy at first because of the nice design and I know that Otterbox is well known for its protection. But after a few months, not so much anymore. The rubber on the bottom and by the volume buttons has detached already from the plastic case and I’m not so happy with the grip, it slides easily from my hand. The plastic also cracked with just a minor fall. My wife also has the same for her 12 pro max but the back portion of hers cracked after falling once. I used an adhesive bond to stick the crack so it won’t continue and break in to pieces. It did protect our phones, but after a short usage and falling only once, the condition of our cases already looks like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
