Better than a manual standing desk

Prior to getting my FlexiSpot desk, I was using a manual standing desk that had a level on the side to raise and lower the desktop. My FlexiSpot desk is awesome and it looks great too!

Honestly, I am thrilled. I previously had a desktop riser due to working from a built in kitchen desk. When I got the opportunity to move into a normal home office space, it was about six months before I was ready to upgrade to a real standing desk. Biggest improvement over a riser is you don&t lose useable desk space, if anyone is considering this alternative.
I got the white E1 desk with 30x48 maple chipboard top and dual monitor arms. It all arrived within a week of ordering. Assembly took maybe an hour by myself (37/f), and would of course have been easier with a helper but was by no means strenuous alone. The instructions were better than most build-at-home furniture I have bought in the past, with complete sentences and clear labeling.
The desk itself is plenty quiet and fast for my needs. I was worried the chipboard top may be poor quality, but it&s very nice for what it is and I feel it will be very durable with day to day use. My old desk (from a local office store) had some cheap design treatment that peeled off like paper when I accidentally dropped a piece of scotch tape on it! So I was worried about going with the cheapest top, but this is definitely much nicer than that and I am not worried at all if a piece of tape touches the surface of the desk.
The monitor arms are very nice as well and super easy to install and use. Keep in mind that monitors on arms do still hang over the desktop and use up real estate in that way. I had considered the 24x42 desktop, and for this reason I am really glad I have that extra 6" in each direction with the 30x48.
I think I will add on one of the cable organizer trays soon to keep everything looking tidy.
Really the only thing I would change is that the basic controls are solid black with very slightly raised up/down arrows. Where my desk sits, I have to lean down and look at them because the lighting doesn&t make it visible enough to see which is which. Eventually I&ll learn them, but one enhancement would be to make those easier to identify in low lighting/glare situations (maybe one raise dot vs two or something like that). Maybe someday I&ll want to upgrade to a bamboo or rubberwood top. But I am very happy with what I got for what I paid and hope to feel that way for a long time to come! I am finally proud of my home office!!

Great Option for Long WFH Hours

After an issue with my desk prevented it from raising, the support team sent me a new motorized leg and keypad! Now the desk lifts properly, and it&s a great option to stand while working long hours from home. I didn&t like that I had to drill my own holes underneath the desk surface in order to attach the frame, though.
