I bought this machine a few months ago and am very happy with it. Easy to use and has plenty of power I made a lumbar pillow with corded trim, had no problems whatsoever
Absolutely love my new singer seeing machine. I almost broke my Baby lock trying to sew canvas. Then I researched and found out I needed a heavy duty machine. This one is great! Watching online tutorials of bobbin winding and threading the machine are the best. The user manual is not very helpful. I followed the two online videos and it sews so beautifully I almost cried. Came faster than I expected with the whole Corona virus thing. Goes through multiple layers of canvas and bias tape like butter. I was able to sew an entire canvas hanging bag for my laundry in a couple of hours. Love love love the fast stitching speed. It was worth every penny and the best price on the web.
When I first received this machine it came threaded as it had been used and returned. I sent an email to inquire and was advised machines are pretested and that was probably the case also there was no manual in the package, but was advised it was available on line. I use the machine and when I went to fix the thread on the bobbin,I couldn't replace the plastic case. Found out the clip on the plate the plastic cover goes under is bent. Now I believe this machine was returned and resold. I have sent 2 emails to singer to address this concern and have not gotten a response. So I am not a happy consumer. I realize it may take longer for a response with all going on,but its been almost a week from the day I sent the first email.

I bought my Singer 4423 three years ago and absolutely love it. It's perfect for making clothes, furnishings and craft projects. The heavy duty aspect is there when you need it, but it also works fine for lightweight projects. Super versatile and easy to use. Extra accessories are reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you don't need lots of fancy stitches.
I'm a first time sewer and thought it was going to be very challenging, but this machine is so easy to use! It's had no problem doing the denim and sequin projects I've been working on. It has a ton of power, I've only used it at about half power and that is PLENTY.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased a Singer 4423 on October 25, 2018. After less than a year of infrequent, light use a belt on the machine broke on May 10, 2019. I thought it would still be under warranty since it is less than a year old. How silly of me - I spent 45 minutes on hold with the warranty service department only to discover that the belts on this machine are only covered by a 90-day warranty. That's RIDICULOUS. I will NEVER purchase a singer again and will NEVER recommend them to anyone else.

I purposely purchased a Singer and went to a Heavy Duty since I sew denim. From the first this machine has been a big disappointment. The easy threader broke, and I bought a new one. Then the zipper foot won't allow me to sew on both sides, just one or needle hits the foot. Moving needle position doesn't work. The Singer warrenty providers are over an hour of travel due to the very large city I live in. Not worth it. So, I won't buy Singer again, unless I go with a very high end machine. These less costly products are not worth the price. I've paid more in repairs than the machine cost.
I needed to replace my very old Singer and chose this model because I was interested in a straight forward machine that wasn't computerized. I am an experienced sewer but usually only create basic projects. This machine exceeded my expectations. First, it's SO light weight compared to my old machine. It's also very quiet compared to my old machine. It has all the features I'm looking for and is super easy and simple to use. My first project was making masks. This machine whipped through the heavy, multiple layers of fabric. What a delight to use. Next project is a t-shirt quilt for my daughter to take to college...as soon as supplies become more plentiful
