Had a sewing machine my whole life after receiving one for high school graduation. When I retired from my postal job after nearly 34 years I moved and decided not to take my sewing machine to my new small apartment and gave it to a co_workers daughter. When covid_19 caused a need for face masks I bought a new machine and have been sewing cotton masks. I'm enjoying sewing again_feels like the good old days.

We ordered this machine for my daughter as a gift on her 11th birthday. It was our first choice, and arrived mid-April, right on time without the delay and confusion that we were prepared for mid-pandemic. She has wanted a sewing machine for years, and the fact that we were able to get this exact model to her in time for her birthday was huge. She is a novice seamstress, but has improved easily on this well built, user friendly machine. Because it is so well made, she will be using it for years to come. I picked it out partly because it resembles the Singer my mom has sewed on since the 1960s. Many thanks Singer--you are a wonderful company!

I've been using my 30+year old Singer for occasional, light sewing projects over the last few years, but making masks with pleats was really hard on it. I tried finding a new, reasonably priced new machine for my home sewing projects, but nobody had any available, until I just went to Singer.com and found the #1 rated home machine! The price was as good or better than the big box stores, but they didn't even have any in stock, and it arrived at my door within a week of my order. I am churning out masks for friends and family members, and have renewed interest in other sewing projects that I haven't really done in a while. It's not a fancy machine with hundreds of stitches, but who needs that - not me.
