I ordered this for my grandma as a present. She needed a replacement after 30+ years! She loves it. It is quiet even when sewing a canvas baby book. It's a straight forward and practical machine for those who dont want to get technical with the digital settings. She loves it. Honestly, I am planning on ordering myself the same machine.

The best machine ever

I have been using this machine for about a year and I am completely in love. I started as a beginner with absolutely no knowledge of sewing. This machine is very easy to learn from.

I'm not sure where to even start...this machine was such a quality upgrade for me. I previously was using a Brother ls-2020 and a Singer Solid State. They both work great and have taught me a lot. I make puff quilts, purses, vinyl wallets and rope bowls. Sew I caft a lot and this new Singer Heavy Duty is exactly what I needed! It's fast, has a big work surface, Great bobbin threading and loading and an amazing array of stitches including the one step button hole maker! I LOVE IT!

Great for a beginner that wants a tough machine!

I'm a beginner sewer, but I wanted a machine that was heavy duty as I plan to sew my own clothes on it and wanted something that can handle denim. So far so good! I've had it for about a month and it was very easy to get the hang of and of the fabrics I've used it can handle lots of layers! I also really appreciate the tools it came with, the seam ripper and feet it came with have already come into great use! Highly recommend for someone who's starting out, but wants a nice machine. There's also a ton of helpful videos online and YouTube that go into great depth on how to use the machine and take care of it. Fingers crossed this lasts a while!

The manual included in one of the emails I was sent upon trying to open has an "error" code. That is frustrating. Also, when I go into "register my machi" there is not an option for choosing my Heavy Duty 4452. That box continues to shut me out. And there is also no notable user-friendly place I know to look for my "serial number." on the bottom of my machine or paper work. I am having to revisit order details, looking all over the place for reasons as to why I am not able to complete my registration. I will attempt to contact someone by phone, that is, if a real person answers the phone. These days, most companies hide phone numbers and make people file questions online. Which is no way to do business. But the covid excuse is still being used by businesses in an effort to curtail their otherwise busy work schedules, apparently. I will try to phone today.

I don't sew all that often but since my 40 year old machine has been acting up for a long time, I had some projects stacked up. This machine is easy to use, very intuitive, and up to the task of heavy fabrics. I have been using it for a few months and have been happy with every job, hems, jeans, jackets, etc. It reminds me of my Mom's Singer I used as a kid–but better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

loved it till it broke. made a loud noise then it no longer would pick up the bobbin thread. did this at less than one month old. they said send it back to singer and they will send me another one. looks like they will stand behind there warranty.
