it's a power house. It will take a little bit to get accustom or judging when to use it instead of another system. It is just fine so far and I'd buy it again.
I was looking for a durable machine for heavy duty sewing. I am redoing the interior of a classic car. I have been sewing vinyl with excellent results. I am also using UV thread which is multi ply. I do wish the spool holder was horizontal for large spools.
I don't know why it took me this long to buy this machine--it was such an upgrade from my last Singer! Everything runs smooth (and surprisingly quiet for a heavy duty machine). The simplicity has been a boon, as I've always had trouble with more digitized machines
Really love this machine, this purchase replaces a 4452 I had approximately 7 years ago that I lost in a flood. Easy to use, quiet. Looking forward to using it for future furniture upholstery projects.
I'm not a great seamstress. I know very little and just wanted a machine that would do simple tasks. My sis was in town visiting. She IS a great seamstress. We set up my new machine so she could show me how to make masks. Now, HER machine costs more along the price of a car! But she was very impressed with this machine. She thought the accessories were great. She also mentioned that the machine sounded really good. I like my new machine. But her stamp of approval made me feel really good!
