To had issues with this machine

I returned the machine because the buttonhole attachment would not work correctly. I am an experienced seamstress and know how to work the buttonhole option but it would continue to bog down at the starting point. Otherwise the machine was fine.

4452 Sewing Machine

Difficult to change presser foot due to axcess to screw needed to loosen said foot. Difficult to use needle threader, and in general thread machine. I have used many singer machines over the years and this is the least user friendly one I have ever encountered!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lack of manual!

So far I love the machine. But, the “ paperless “ manual is a crock of dodo. They should have spent the .99 cents, and included the manual to keep next to the machine. Who wants to run to another room, fire up the computer, pull up the site to remember which stitch is which. Hope they did not cheap out on anything else involved with the machine. Irked in California.

I have always had a problem with the needles. I purchase singer needles and they never fit. Then the machine will just stop. I wish it worked better and not in the mood to have it fixed. I just want to sew and not have problems....

Shank Screw broke off in shank

I bought the 4452 4 months ago. I've sewn 3 scrub hats. Like 1hr max sewing time. I removed the original presser foot and was turning the shank screw to attach the walking foot and the screw sheared off on the shank.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good, an upgrade from the last one I bought in 2020 which lasted only three (3) weeks, I had to return it. customer service was very prompt in giving me my refund. I love the power and the other great features of my new 4452 model I purchased in 2021. Looking forward to some happy sewing on this machine.

Lovely and Smooth and Well Made

I have been using this for several hours and am impressed by how smooth this is. It is definitely very sturdy. Most of the little exterior pieces are metal. Which is excellent. Very happy with my choice. The needle threading feature is cool. This is a huge upgrade from my old machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
