Verified Purchase:Yes
I grew up sewing on a Singer Sewing Machine that my mother used for over 50 years. I had borrowed some sewing machines from my daughter (a Kenmore and a Brother), I had a LOT of issues with both of those machines and then purchased a newer Brother machine and it broke down within 24 hours (the bobbin casing fell out and the needle is now stuck and I cannot move the wheel), I then purchased the Singer machine and have NOT had any problems with it. I am making masks and headbands with buttons for local nursing home staff and residents and needed a dependable machine that I can get this project completed. This Singer has worked extremely well for me and has allowed me to get a LOT of masks and headbands completed. I will never buy any other brand of machines again!

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to this machine about three months ago and I have been so happy I did. This is a very forgiving machine, easy to operate and maintain. The biggest problems I've run into is upper thread breaking or bunching when I start sewing, but all I have to do is rethread the machine (and I have to mention it doesn't do this with higher quality threads) I haven't changed any of the factory settings because I haven't needed to. I also love all the different presser feet, especially the side cutter attachment. Who needs a serger? I've used this machine for making masks, pajamas, craft items and pillows (and making piping with the zipper foot was a breeze). I even completed my first quilting project using the quilting guide attachment. I would highly recommend this machine for anyone who needs a workhorse that isn't finicky and complicated.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dear Deena,
We are absolutely thrilled that you found your perfect match in the Heavy Duty 4452 sewing machine! It is a great machine that we fondly refer to as a "true workhorse". Thanks for sharing your good experience with us. We hope you'll stop by again soon!
I'm enjoying using my new machine. I have been sewing on the last Singer machine made before the first computer machine in the 1960's. My old machine is also heavy duty. I am an experienced sewer and have been sewing since I was six years old. I would recommend the 452.
I spent several months trying to order from different websites before I went straight to the main distributor. Shipping was incredibly fast and the machine is everything I wanted for my cosplay needs. Very happy with all the bonus accessories too.
I am enjoying sewing with my new 4452 Singer.Sewing is very easy for me now. As long as you have the correct needle for the fabric, sewing is a breeze.Threading the machine is simple as well as threading the bobbin.Love the high speed, sew without missing a stitch. Great feature is the needle threader. I am also enjoying trying all the different stitches. This machine is worth it for me.
I purchased this machine to replace a 27+ yr old machine that was wearing out. I am very happy with this machine and have been using it to make face masks for friends and family. I only wish I could get an extension table to go with it.
My wife has been very pleased with her 4452. However, the lack of a manual with the purchase of an expensive machine is confusing and disappointing. Also appreciated would be how to videos about this new machine. Also confusing and disappointing.
I had purchased one for myself several months ago and my brother has been borrowing it to make masks so we got one for him. His granddaughters are excited to learn how to sew on it, as well. It has been very easy to work with and feels like it will last for years to come.
