Its great for everyday sewing! I like to sew dolls and doll clothes and I am sewing constantly. * I bought this machine for its needle threader feature, I still have not been able to get it to function. * The machine only came with a quick start guide. It would be nice to have a manual included in the package so I don't have to stop what I'm doing and run to my computer to look up the different features of the machine.
Such a great machine! Easy to use, powerful, and reliable.

Wanted something basic to make furniture covers, blue jeans, etc. this machine is perfect balance between function and features. High speed is a big advantage. I recommend this machine to anyone who needs a basic all around machine capable of handling heavy fabrics.

Home sewing & mending / used Singers for 40 years. This machine is ok for home sewing but not the workhorse the old ones were. It is lighter (17 lbs) for carrying. Comes with a dust cover but no case. Does not come with a manual***! That must be obtained via computer. Note to Singer: give us the option of requesting a manual at purchase. Not all of us are computer whizzes.
I had a Classic and moved up to a Heavy Duty. I like It but I expected all parts to be of an upgraded quality. Plastic bobbins and the entire bobbin area are mediocre at best. I'm currently sewing facial masks; fleece robes and upholstery covered pillows, For the price, it's a good machine.
My very first sewing machine was a Singer which I purchased back in the mid '70's. I thought I was due for an update. I decided to stay with Singer since I was so pleased with their product. I went with one of their heavy duty models (the 4452). Back when I purchased my first machine they didn't even offer a 'free arm'. Plus, I do a lot of work with denim. This machine satisfies all of my needs.
Great machine so far. It handles easily and it's very sturdy. I've been sewing masks nonstop without any issues. However, I've noticed it doesn't do great stitching light fabrics with a tight seam allowance. That's okay, because it handles multiple layers without a problem.
I definitely recommend this machine! We have bonded! Lol! !

I started making masks on another brand machine, and had so many problems. It could not handle even the lightest weight fabrics. I finally decided it was time I returned to the brand my mother used, and I originally learn on. Singer is the best!
