I was disappointed in my machine. My expectations were that it would sew heavier fabrics, and more than one layer. It bunches up the thread when it changes thicknesses. Not what was advertised. I do however like the way it sews regular fabric.

I use this for everything - simple projects like play dresses for my daughter and more complex projects such as period costumes and everyday clothing. Very sturdy, love the accessories, lots of options but easy enough for a novice to use. (Watch the speed though...this machine can stitch VERY fast but if you play with the foot pedal you can easily learn to adjust speed accordingly.) Very happy with this purchase!
I'm just sewing up a storm... Just love this machine.. Making Masks for family and friends right now. Will be getting started on other projects soon. ALSO, Thank you sooooo much for getting this machine to me so quickly during this pandemic. It was really hard to find a machine in stock anywhere.
Singer is the brand that has always been used in my family.

I just got my sewing machine. I have not used one in many years. I tried it out and absolutely love it. I can't wait to get started on my sewing. It's very easy to use and has many great features, which include my favorite, the level that threads the needle.
My sewing machine is great, I am very, very happy with it. It is everything I expected and more, I am a great fan of singer products, been sewing since I was ten years old and loving it every day. Thanks, singer for being the best.
While driving home from a class at Joann's Super Store, I had the machine in its case in the trunk of my car. When I opened it up I noticed that the upright spool holder was bent. It broke off so I glued it back on with Super Glue. It seems Ok but I have not really put it to the test. Also have not been able to use the self-threading feature without someone else's help. I am used to my mother's WWII-era machine!
This machine is great! I have been sewing safety masks non stop since I got it! Only a couple of issues with the thread snagging. I haven't had time to Read up on cleaning it so probably should do that. I am sure there is some lint building up with how much I am sewing.

When my 15 year old machine started giving problems, I reviewed Singers online to choose a replacement. I haven't used all the features yet, but I've used several different weights of fabric and it's handled them all equally. Easy to use and seems like it will outlast me!
