I love the machine. Needed a heavy duty machine to mend my husband's and son's work clothes (heavy denim and duck cloth) and for home décor projects. My only complaint is that the automatic needle threader on the machine stopped working after about 2 weeks. It was great while it worked but then it just stopped. Glad my eyesight is still good and I can thread my own machine. Other than that, I have no complaints. It works well on all types of fabrics and comes with a large number of attachments.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this sewing machine! It is just has heavy duty as advertised. I have already sewn jeans and seat belt material to make costumes and it makes such quick work of it all! You can buy countless feet for this machine to fit any need you want. My two complaints with this machine is the thread cutter needs to have a bigger opening or needs to be sloped more so the thread slides into the cutter easier. Two, when removing the bottom cover to have closer sewing area, you can't reach the whole way under the bottom which can be an issue for bulky material. If those two design flaws were fixed this would be an easy 10/5 stars!!!

Powerful, easy to use.

I am a professional seamstress and use this machine at the shop. It is a replacement for the commercial grade
singer I had used for years. I am very happy with this machine, as I now have to take home only a few projects to use my personal industrial machine for, such as heavier leather and multiple layers of webbing. I believe this machine could manage some of that sort of thing as well. But I try not to stress out a lighter machine. I can say that it does jeans hems without a hiccup and leather like for gloves very well, and it also does very fine materials such as organdie and silk beautifully. I am sure I will get many years of use from this machine, running it as much as 9 hrs a day. For a household machine, I believe it would go better than ten years for an enthusiast, longer for a hobbyist.

I wanted a heavy duty sewing machine so I could do upholstery projects. My first project with this machine was reupholstering an old office chair. It worked great! The tension was perfect and needed no adjustment. It was easy to learn how to use it. My experience with sewing is between beginner to intermediate.

My first experience with a Singer sewing machine to replace an old Brothers. This machine works for basic stitches, but when it comes to doing button holes and other fancy stitches, it will not work. I've tried every tutorial, every troubleshooting guide and recruited the help of an experienced friend; my machine will absolutely not do button holes. I occasionally hear clunks, thread breakages, and it jams in a way that requires disassembly of the machine. I've spent more time fixing jams than I have used the machine. Overall, I'm disappointed and will be sticking with other brands.
