This is the best purchase I've made in a long time. The way it does not hesitate going over denim seams and hems is amazing. I never thought I would want a heavy duty machine, but this is the best. The only thing I did not receive was the needle threader. As my eyes are getting older, this would be an asset.
If you're looking for a reliable non-digital machine- this is perfect. I needed a heavy-duty machine as I sew everything from clothing and curtains to costumes and toys. Plus I like to hand embroider and have no need for digital stitching. This machine has everything I need plus a few extras and it's top quality! Also- a great price for anyone!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review. We count ourselves lucky for customers like you.
The machine arrived in two days. Easy to set up, easy start up directions. I have been sewing foe 30 years and this machine is a great replacement for my old Singer.

We are so grateful for your kind words. Thanks for sharing your review with us.
Great machine for someone just starting out. Not too expensive, but not too lightweight...seems to be made well. The automatic threader is a little difficult to use...you have to have the needle in the exact position for it to work & it is sometimes hard to tell if you have it raised all the way.
This is her 3rd 4452 in maybe a 20-year period. She does theatre costumes and clothes and fantasy costumes. Sometimes she or our son over-load the machine with leather, carpet, burlap, or mop yarn (substitute for animal fur or mane). She uses only two stitches of the many available. This basic HD machine, with no computer to foul up, just crunches along.
I had the 4452 less than two weeks when the automatic needle threader stopped working. I tinkered with it and lost the two tiny screws that are essential to the threader(thats on me). I was not able to locate replacements. I was sewing when the machine made a loud "thud", breaking the needle and froze up the machine. There was ton's thread balls that were difficult to remove. The next thing that happened was the needle thread would not pick up the bobbin thread and then the needle starting hitting the bobbin case. Through a little research on You tube , I believe that the timing was off and the needle holder was too low. I don't believe a new machine should act like this! I was not able to finish my current project. I have sent the machine back for a refund. This caused me a lot of frustration and based on on this I would not recommend this model! I was very disappointed because when it worked, it worked very well and has a lot of good features.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
