This machine is a work horse!

Bought this machine five months ago ... did some mending, made a ton of masks, and now a quilt. The machine is very fast, snap on feet make it so easy to swap them out, and the walking foot functions as expected (tighten it up every so often or it works loose on the shank). Goes through multiple layers like it's nothing! It is a basic, mechanical style sewing machine, not a lot of bells and whistles, but she goes like a champ ... which is precisely what I wanted..
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this machine a few months ago, it was my first machine and I LOVE it!!!!!!!! I've worked on other machines, they were so flimsy in comparison. I loved it so much, I recommended it to a friend, who was joining my business, she tried to buy the same model but it was sold out everywhere.

My first project with this machine was making a cover for my grill. Heavy vinyl backed canvas. Leather needle and heavy nylon upholstery thread. The machine didn’t even slow dow sewing through up to six layers of fabric on some seams. Next project was a couple chair pads. Regular cotton material, #14 needle, regular thread. Beautiful stitching. This is a very versatile machine and I couldn’t be happier with it for a homeowner style machine.

I bought the 4452 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine for my wife. She wanted a sewing machine that could sew heavy fabric such as denim. She loves the machine and has been sewing every day since it arrived. One of the things she likes about it is that it doesn't require a lot of adjustment. The tension is easy to set and does not require adjusting the bobbin.

Great machine, except....

Great machine, except that I have found that, although it is advertised as a machine that will sew fast, if you actually do sew fast (and I'm not talking about anything unreasonable here), it will jam up. I took it apart to see if I could figure out what was going on and I found a thin wire hook that looked to be a thread holder of some sort. I'm wondering if sewing fast makes the thread jump off that hook---not hard to picture. Really good machine in every other way and I try to remember to take it easy.

All my life I've dealt with used machines. Some good ones, I might add. But I decided it was time to upgrade. It was the best decision on my part. It's been an amazing experience. No more adjusting and tweaking here and there. This machines runs pretty smooth and it's pretty reliable. I strongly recommend it.
