I love this machine. I am a complete beginner, and I was a little intimidated by the speed that this machine sews at. Once I got it, and looked up some videos for a crash course on how to use a sewing machine again (it has been about 18 years) it was very manageable. Given the current situation with the pandemic, and the demand for sewing machines, Singer has been great. The machine arrived slightly before I expected. Thank you to everyone at Singer who are still working, making it possible for others to make products to keep people safe.
I got tired of fighting with my old machine due to bobbin tension issues and wanted a machine with a stronger motor to sew through heavier fabrics and denim. This one does. Took a while to master the self-threader mechanism but watching YouTube videos for that and buttonhole attachment were extremely helpful.
I always love singer brand since I was young ... This is my first tome having my own singer sewing machine ... Hope it lasts longer :)

The last machine I bought was a Singer Gold'n'Touch in 1967. I believe the 4452 Heavy Duty will be just as reliable. It was very easy to adjust to the differences of the new machine and I have already made several dresses for my granddaughters. Love the 4452!
