This machine reminds me of my old Kenmore I had years ago. It is so easy to use and thread. The stiches are perfect.

I've only had this machine for a few months, but I absolutely love it! It really can handle anything ~ I made a heavy-duty totebag and the machine had no trouble with even the thickest parts. It's easy to use, runs well, and I've had no thread tension issues (my great-grandma's old Singer, the machine I grew up using, *always* has problems with thread tension). My one complaint is that it sounds a bit like a plane getting ready to take off!
I needed a basic machine, this one ticked all the boxes. Very easy to use, and powerful too. It is sturdy. I used it to make a duvet cover, took me less than 30 minutes, which is great considering I dont know much about machines and how to use them. I watch a youtube video that explained and showed me everything (and more) I needed to know for 1st time use.
The shipping was fast!! The machine is beautiful. I had an older Kenmore machine but it had a few problems and I just decided to change up. Great decision!
I bought my first new sewing machine. I find it easy to use and that makes it fun to sew. I am finding out more and more what my machine can do and I have experimented a little and find it easy to use the attachments. I also found that it can sew through bulky layers and even uneven bulky layers without any problems. A Terrific Machine! I Highly Recommend it to anyone, especially a novice or someone who is looking for a good general use sewing machine.
I'm enjoying the speed and capabilities of this machine. The adjustment of the foot allows for ease in seeing thicker materials and the needle does shift.
I first learned to sew when I was 8 years old on a treadle sewing machine and still have an antique one I've used on heavy fabric projects such as leather goods, etc. I am happy that my new Heavy Duty Singer does the job as well, and is also replacing my 50 year old, solid metal, electric Kenmore. These days most of my sewing is home improvement projects, i.e. Roman Shades for 5 windows, or mending denim jeans, and redesigning items. I love this machine because it has very similar features to the one I have used for so many years and is much, much lighter and easier to move around, but has the important components still made of durable metal. I expect my new Singer to become my "favorite" and will be giving my computerized Brothers machine to my 8 yr.old granddaughter who is much more technically minded than her Grandmother who still has to pull out the manual to thread it!
Singer is a tradition in my family, everything about the brand represents good quality and the best memories ever. I emigrate to USA 5 years ago and buying this machine was like to be at home again. I highly recommend this product or what ever Singer of your preference. I would like to bring more than five stars for sure. Thanks
