I broke my previous machine sewing these face masks.( another brand) this sews through heavy duty con ton material plus medium weight fusible interfacing, gathered into pleats like a knife through warm butter.
I've only had the privilege of using this machine for a couple of weeks to make about 100 masks for covid-19. So far it has been a pleasant experience for me.
Been sewing on industrial Singer machines all of my life, wanted a portable one that I could use in other areas of my home and this is the best portable sewing machine I have owned. Comparable to the heavy-duty power machines I have used all of my life.
I bought this machine because it has metal parts. I can hem denim jeans, but it also does a fine job with light weight materials. It is not overly complicated. I really love it!
My new machine arrived just in time to help me make face masks for family, friends, neighbors and the local hospital. Made over 400 so far. The machine has worked perfectly. Glad to get back to a Singer. My last machine was not a Singer - what was I thinking?
