Love this sewing machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited about this sewing machine. I sew woven wool pillowcases so I needed a sewing machine that could withstand the heavy fabric. The extension table is the best thing ever. I am not sure how I’ve gone this long without having one! Set up was so easy and the instructions were well written and easy to understand. It ran nicely, didn’t give off any weird burnt smells like I’ve read from other users and it withstood the wool and several cotton pieces at once. Also it nicely sews just a strip of cotton fabric too. I don’t use all of the attachments it comes with but glad they are made available. If I had one thing to complain about it would be the cover they provide. But it obviously is just a dust cover and not meant to protect the machine itself. Just means I need to go get a case to put it in for when it’s not in use because this thing is awesome! Definitely want to protect it. Love this sewing machine!
I would recommend this to a friend!

having a major problem, can't find any help!;

This machine is not a year old yet. I haven't sewn a lot on it. I have not been able to fix a major problem I am having with it. I haven't been able to get help with finding out what is wrong.
The problem is that the thread keeps breaking.around the needle area or the arm thingy that g oes up and down. It does not appear to get stuck. I have changed needles too. I am hoping to get a live person to advise me what to do!.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Build Quality

I used it only a handful of times before the cuff holding the presser rod in place just snapped and now the machine is completely unusable. I took it to a local repair shop and they said it is likely beyond repair. Really disappointing.

Do Not Buy!

After receiving this new sewing machine, didn't use for two weeks was busy helping my sister. I then preceded to make my new curtains, stopped, to sew the hem the next day. After sewing for 5 minutes, the bobbin thread became stuck on a piece of metal, right in the middle of sewing! I didn't change or do anything different. Took awhile for me to UPLOAD information Singer wanted for the return. Waited on my daughter from out of town for computer help. " 7 Days out of Warranty", they said. After using the machine 2 times! I am very upset.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this machine quite a few yrs back I love but I’ve never had to make a button hole before till recently so I tried and tried then I found out that a wrong button hole foot product was packed in the box when I bought it so now I went all over town trying to buy one and no stores had any not even the stores that carry singer products and sewing machines so I had to order one on line and spend money that I shouldn’t have had to but to get the right button foot I had no choice but I do love my machine very much.

Needle position

My needle position does not work. It is in left position. Dial will not move needle. I can move it by hand but will not hold.
